Why I signed a new artiste with schnapps and eggs – Fameye’s ‘former’ manager

Ogidi Brown Eggs.jpeg

Ogidi Brown [R] had schnapps and eggs on the table during the signing of the contract

Ogidi Brown, ‘former’ manager of musician Fameye has opened up on the motive behind signing new artiste Cryme Officer with schnapps and eggs, saying it was intended to invoke curses on any of the partners in the agreement who will betray the other.

Like the adage ‘once bitten, twice shy’, Ogidi Brown, said in an interview with MzGee that based on the unfair treatment meted out to him by Fameye, who despite having a five-year-contract with the label has rebelled, it was prudent to resort to tradition in the signing of a new artiste.

He argued that people are mindful of their actions when the ‘gods’ are involved in agreements between them and others than mere documentation.

“I know each and everyone knows that in Ghana, we have this tradition that exits. This time around, I decided to bring it in for each and every one doing the signing to see that we’re serious. It’s not a joke,” he said.

“People sometimes take advantage of certain things even in the church. They take things for granted but this tradition is tried and tested. People are scared of breaking it because of the consequence. Once it’s a contract, there has to be something to guides us all,” Ogidi Brown added.

He expressed bitterness with respect to how Fameye has spat on the label, stressing that he least expected such a rebellious attitude from someone he unflinchingly supported without thinking twice.

He [Fameye] is still under OGB Music. We have a five-year-contract with him. It’s still running but he’s doing his own thing for now. I don’t even know his whereabouts so I have to bring in another artiste,” Ogidi Brown mentioned.

The misunderstanding between Fameye and his management started as mere speculations until a video clip emerged, suggesting the artiste had slapped Ogidi Brown. Fameye refuted the claims as he argued that he only smashed the phone that was being used to capture his fury.

He later apologized to Ogidi Brown who later took to his Instagram page and announced to the general public that he had forgiven Fameye.

But after apology, their relationship seems not to have been cordial.

Rapper, Joey B says he will not stoop so low to project his brand with a “BEEF” with other artistes.

According to him, “Beefs” have a short lifespan and therefore not a recipe to recognition in the music industry.

He noted that it’s imperative for musicians like himself to build solid brands that has lasted impressions on the masses.

Joey B who was speaking to ghanaweekend.com mentioned that “I want to leave this thing with a clean sheet. With a very solid brand. With a very cool wave or music”.

He added “I just wanna make music and just make all my people happy and try and give back to the needy and do cool stuff. That’s me”.

The more my boyfriend beats me, the more I love him-Ms Forson

Former Rufftown Records signee Ms Forson has made another revelation about her partner and it seems she is madly in love with him.

Well, according to Ms Forson, she loves when her partner beats her. Although she says she’s against violence against women but for her, it’s fantasy.

Miss Forson in an interview on Starr FM has explained that she got inspiration for her latest single “Wo Be Su” because her boyfriend beats her.

She further explained that the pampering she gets after the beatings is what makes her feel good.

“You’d cry (Wo Be Su) is my new single but the whole concept was about violence against women. It’s not good but for me, I like it because it makes me feel good. Some people like it that way, others don’t. He has to beat me sometimes so we make up. When he beats me, he’ll pamper me. We all have our preferences”, she disclosed.

Tt’s somehow weird to see a lady professing her undying love for her man beating the hell out of her in the name of love. “Hmmm!! Awell, Love No Catch You Before”
